We sold our flat in Bristol in 2022 and haven't looked back. What started as a six-month experiment in slow travel became our life — and honestly, it's the dogs and cats we meet along the way that make it feel like home.

Sarah translates French and Spanish technical documents; Tom designs interfaces for a London agency, three hours ahead of his teammates most days. We're both happiest when there's a dog walk to bookend the working day.

Between us we've cared for arthritic German Shepherds, anxious rescue greyhounds, a three-legged cat called Chairman Meow, and a tortoise who outlived its previous two owners. We don't rush — our minimum sit is two weeks, because we've learned that's how long it takes for a nervous pet to properly relax with new people.
