What We Say
Helen is an interesting sitter — quiet, precise, and deeply attentive to detail. Her design background shows in how she approaches sits: she treats the homeowner's instructions as a brief and follows them to the letter. Her multilingual skills make her unusually well-suited to European sits, where she communicates with vets and neighbours without difficulty. At 23 sits with a 4.85 average, she's not the most prolific sitter, but her reviews are remarkably consistent. Several homeowners describe her as "the calmest person our dog has ever met."

About Helen
I'm Helen, a freelance graphic designer based in Brighton. I lived in Berlin for six years and Antwerp for three before moving back to England in 2020, which is where the German, French, and Dutch come from — and why I still gravitate towards Northern European sits when I can get them.
I sit during gaps between freelance projects, which means I'm sometimes available for three weeks straight and sometimes booked solid for months. I'm upfront about that in my applications. When I am sitting, I'm fully present — no laptop, no client calls, just me and the animals and whatever book I'm reading.
I'm a quiet, introverted person who genuinely prefers the company of animals to most humans. Dogs, cats, rabbits — I'm happy with all of them. I had a greyhound in Berlin who taught me that some dogs need very little exercise and a lot of sofa time, which suits me perfectly.
I'm meticulous about following routines. If you say the cat gets fed at 7am, the cat gets fed at 7am. Not 7:15.
Experience
Had a greyhound for four years in Berlin and has cared for dogs and cats across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK. Comfortable with anxious and reactive dogs, multi-cat households, and rabbits. Experienced with European vet systems and pet transport regulations.
